We were on a trip around the coast and found Freddie's online. Great chippy, nice and clean, locals all popping in. Friendly staff, extensive menu but food was great, chips lovely and not oily, massive portions, 50p ketchup portions were also generous. We sat and ate our chips at the harbour along the road, perfect, just looking at the sea with a chippy.

Not from around here, but the food here has been our best memory of Banff. I was surprised I wasn't the first customer just barely one minute after it opened! Portion is large and taste is amazing, definitely recommend.

Best to call in for your order as they are very busy. Parking can be awkward at busy times. This is now our regular as the portions were great and the price was very reasonable. The fish was perfect. Fresh and the batter was thin and crispy.

The ordering was straightforward and preparation wasn't so long from start to finish. Perfectly cooked fish and chips, fish was piping hot 👌 the curry for the cheese, chips and curry was very tasty, not too spicy and fruity which was an Ideal taste for the curry sauce.

2x good fish suppers, both with 2 bits fish as standard, good portion of chips. Very good value for what you get. Bit of a wait for supper, but hey the people were very busy, next time will phone in order .....

Absolutely delicious! The batter was not only tasty but wonderfully crispy without being greasy. The chips were simply lovely, and the portions were unbelievably huge. We traveled all the way from East Lothian to spend a night in Banff, and thanks to glowing reviews, we stumbled upon this gem. Honestly, we couldn't have found a better spot, and when we return to Banff, revisiting this Freddies will be at the top of our list.

I would not normally give a review, as I believe that good service and food is a minimum expectation.
My son has come in from work, twice, with a fish supper for me.
Very very good.
Didn't expect anyone to put a better fish in front of me than Fochabers which has been my go to for neatly 40 years.... well, move over..... my allegiance has moved, resoundingly..
